Keep up the great work!!!!
Happy Birthday !
Have a great run!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
Happy Birthday!!! πππ
I convinced my girlfriend to workout with me this morning and it was a lot of fun. We did an arms video and a cardio dance one. We were both cracking up during the videos. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
YAY!!! Teamwork makes the dream work! Are you two getting married?
Yeah weβre getting married at the end of the year! Sheβs usually leaving for work when Iβm working out in the mornings so I was happy to get the chance to work out together.
The wedding is giving us both the motivation to really try to get healthier and in shape. Weβre slowly getting there!
Checking in! Hello all. I got sick, took to bed and well, looks like I am a week behind...no matter - not gonna dwell. Taking it slow. Inspired by all, so thank you. Guess Iβd have to say my biggest issue is food and abs. What is helping is meal planning and writing it down - and abs, well thatβs going to take awhile ππ€ͺ. Trying to think staying the course and consistent healthy habits will get me there, but some days, you look in the mirror and go, what the hell happened here and what is this?!!!! Gaaaaahπ³π€ͺπ€ͺ Well π to all!! Sending good vibes for that next workout or healthy meal. Letβs crush it!!!
Food is the hardest for everyone... And your stomach is the last thing that will improve. I think this is why people can't stick with their goals... It's totally annoying and unfair but that's the way it is.
In society, we've stopped looking at food as full. We look at it as a social occasion... There's the problem. You can socialize without overeating, you just have to reprogram your brain through taking it one day at a time. Just follow my food program and keep doing the right things.
Check in every day with the squad and let's all keep it up!
Hey Elaine! I am on the βmedical benchβ for 2 weeks so I know how you feel about being behind but we will catch up !! Better late than never.
Thank you Tara! Happy not to be the only one on a different schedule, and yes, we will get there! π
PROUD of all of you! Great WEEK 1. Don't get sloppy now... Week two is setting some foundation for your future. Refocus tonight and lets crush Monday. Holler if you hear me!
Hear you!!! And happy to have a plan to accomplish the week! We got this...remember this is a commitment and not a quick thing. We need to support the sustainable commitment to OURSELVES!
Count me in, coach!
Checking in for day 1 of week 2. I did a 30 minute run this morning and a core video.
I also wanted to share what I've learned about myself during week 1. If I stick to the 4 meals a day, I'm not as hungry. It's when I skip one, that my body get super hangry and then I want to eat everything in sight. I also noticed that if I stick to the portions, same things happens... which is that I don't get as hungry for the next meal and I stick to that portion. If I do get a little hungry during the day, forcing myself to drink water helps. I wonder if my body confuses thirst for hunger?
Checking in for today! I did the third team workout today which was a lot of fun. The alternating leg lift move felt easier than the last time I did them, so that was pretty cool to start to feel a difference.
Week 2 workouts start setting that foundation. Thank you for being on top of your check-ins!
Hi Team! It's been a couple days since my last check in ... well, that sounds like I'm at confessional ... Anyways, I took Friday as a rest day. Saturday & Sunday I spent at my son's soccer tournament. Really proud of myself, I made restaurant choices for the team that allowed me to make smart food choices. For in between games, I packed snacks (protein shakes and hard boiled eggs). Also between games, I walked the soccer complex to get in some miles. I also did lunges, push ups and dips.
Monday I ran 3 miles. Today, I finished Workout #3!
Welcome back! I'm really proud of you. The hardest part about reaching and keeping your goals is being prepared for events just like this. Life is going to continue to make reaching your fitness goals difficult. All you have to do is keep doing the right thing and eventually doing the right thing will become a habit because it will become who you are. And if who you are is someone that eats super healthy... Guess what? My work here is done.
Hi Team! Just wanted to share-- I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror today and daaaaammmmnnnn Lacey!! I can't believe the definition I'm seeing after completing Reboot and being 1 week into 1 Month Mission. It was exactly the motivation I needed to get through bootcamp workout #3 (round 2 was especially tough). 1, 2, 3, TOGETHER!
YES, QUEEN!!! Let's keep up the good work!
Hey squad! Calling for some back up...I knew I was going to splurge & rest this past Birthday weekend but then I slipped into a pms funk! No motivation & lots of excuses.
Hoping to wake up with a new attitude-fingers crossed! Send any tips or notes of what helps you get out of a hormonal (Iβm hoping) slump!
Thanks Team XOXO
Sarah
Sarah! First, Happy Birthday! Next, any kinda funk sucks. I feel yeah, no motivation and a lot of excuses sometimes here too. Just throwing out my go- toβs for when it happens: think of three amazing things you did today, think of something really hard you got thru and how if you got though that, you can do anything; pick yourself up, visualize how great your gonna feel, how much energy you are going to have, take things one day at a time, one meal at a time, one workout at a time. Youβve got this. Tomorrow is a new day! I could be way off track here with my rambling...π. Hope it helps. Just really wanted to reply πͺπ
Every month the reds try to take us down... You have to be able to bounce back... Don't let your monthly hormone demons get in the way of why you signed up for this program. If you want to change your body you have to change... Wake up tomorrow and do our workout before anything else you do. I mean... you can brush your teeth first. ha
Thank you for sharing!
Ugh! I hate that time of the month! My happy place is near the water so I usually take a walk near the water or go for a run. Getting outside with the fresh air and moving seems to shake my funk. But trust and believe that it takes every ounce of energy to just get dressed. I always feel better once I move.
Do you hate it because it's cold?
Hey Sarah - we all lose motivation sometimes but I honestly find if I just try to keep it simple and say to myself "Hey Let's Go Hang Out with Lacey for a bit" that actually helps because I know I am going to laugh at something funny she says and I will be happier with myself when I have finished the workout. By the time I am putting my trainers on I am feeling optimistic and when I am finished it's like "whew, I can do this!" I have been benched for almost 2 weeks and my funk is actually from NOT being able to do the workouts. Who DOESN'T want to hang out with Lacey for a bit, she is AWESOME! :) Good luck!
Ditto! Well said Tara! πππͺ
